Important Update on NECO Result Checking Token

NECO has replaced the old scratch card system with a new Result Checking Token.
This token is now required to access your results online. According to a message on the official NECO website,
each token can only be used up to five times for the same result.
Any further checks will require the use of the NECO E-Verify result verification portal.

“This is to inform the general public that henceforth our result checker token will be used to check a candidate’s result once (up to five times);
you cannot use another token to check the same result again. Any further checks of the same result would require

What You Need Before Checking Your NECO Result

Before you begin the process, make sure you have the following:

• Your NECO Examination Number
• The Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
• A valid Email Address
• A NECO Result Checking Token

Step 1: Purchase Your NECO Result Checking Token

The first step to checking your NECO result is to purchase a Result Checking Token.
This token replaces the previously used scratch card system and is available online.

How to Buy the NECO Token:

1. Go to the official NECO Results website: https://result.neco.gov.ng
2. Click on the “Purchase Token” button.
3. If you already have an account, log in with your email and password. If not, create a new account by clicking “Register” and filling in your details.
4. Once logged in, click on “Purchase Token” again and follow the prompts to make your payment.
5. Pay securely with your debit card. After payment, your token will appear under the “My Tokens” section of your account.

Step 2: Access the NECO Result Checking Portal

With your token ready, you’re now set to check your result. Visit the
NECO Result Checking Portal to begin.

Step 3: Enter Your Exam Details

On the portal, carefully enter the required details into the form:

• Select the Exam Year – e.g., 2025.
• Choose the Exam Type – SSCE Internal (JUN/JUL) or SSCE External (NOV/DEC), depending on which you participated in.
• Enter your Token Number – This is the token you purchased earlier.
• Type in your Examination/Registration Number in the specified field.

After filling in the details, click the “Check My Result” button to view your results instantly.
